Amethyst follows a release strategy inspired by enterprise operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), AlmaLinux, and Rocky Linux. Rather than stripping the system down to chase synthetic benchmark scores, Amethyst focuses on durability, system file integrity, and long-term support cycles.
Built on Microsoft's original Windows IoT Enterprise LTSC platform. Takes full advantage of the IoT branch's 10-year long-term security support lifecycle. Keeps Defender, Windows Update, and core authentication services intact to prevent update-related failures.
Released alongside newer feature updates. Optimized for modern hardware and demanding graphics or engineering workloads.
Released very infrequently. Gives absolute priority to continuous uptime and maximum minimalism.
We follow a versioning model built for enterprise operating systems:
Triggered when Microsoft ships a new-generation LTSC platform / Windows kernel. The entire system is rebuilt from the new base.
Periodic updates on the same current LTSC platform: the latest Cumulative security patches from Microsoft, refreshed custom UI (Start Menu Category UI, Floating Search Bar), minor bug fixes, and upgraded internal tools (Nux ToolBox).
The system update service is never blocked or removed. Monthly patches from Microsoft install smoothly without causing sign-in screen freezes.
We test the compatibility of Microsoft patches before bundling them into the next Minor Release ISO.
Every release ships with its own optimization toolkit and a synchronized interface, ensuring a consistent experience across versions.

This project distributes a customized build of Windows — not an independent operating system. It is produced using the open-source Tiny11 Automated Builder toolkit to remove bloatware, disable telemetry, and optimize resource usage, while preserving Windows Update, Windows Defender, and core authentication services.
This is not a cracked or pre-activated build. No product keys, license bypasses, or activation exploits are bundled with any release. Users are required to activate their installation with their own valid, legitimately obtained Windows license, exactly as they would with an unmodified copy of Windows.
